In the year 2014 the Ibanez Company took many of its rivals out of the game with an electric Guitar that expressed years of experience and magnificent craftsmanship. The unbelievable price on this guitar attracted many guitarists all over the globe. This awesome guitar was named S520.The “Wizard III” neck, with only 19mm thickness(at headstock) and 43mm width(at nut), turned out to be one of the thinnest necks between Ibanez models. The S520 neck, with a Satin Finish on a 3-piece-maple neck, accomplished speed, strength and beauty all at once.The “S-type” body of this guitar(which is slimmer than most Ibanez bodies) is made of high quality mahogany which brings a warm and special tone to this one. Ibanez Quantum pickups seem to manage the bass sound with a great response and pure clarity without even a bit of noise. These pickups are in HSH order, which allows you to choose your tone between 5 different tones with a 5-way toggle. Interestingly in position 4 of this toggle you can hear your neck humbucker pickup, functioning as two parallel single coils.Before 2018 Ibanez used to use Rosewood for the fretboard of S520; but the new 2018 model came with a Jatoba fingerboard that sounds kind of like rose wood but looks a bit more redish.The strong Edge Zero II bridge not only keeps your guitar in tune but also helps a great deal while setting the strings tension.
